This pale pink sweatshirt pays tribute to the iconic Minot's Ledge Lighthouse, that resides about a mile off the coast of Scituate and Cohasset, MA. In 1894, the lighthouse was given a new lighting system that used a distinctive 1-4-3 flash (one flash, four flashes, then three). This sequence was thought to represent "I LOVE YOU" (1-4-3 being the number of letters in that phrase). The lighthouse affectionately became known as "Lover's Light". The light still flashes this 1-4-3 pattern, but was automated in 1947.
This lighthouse is a beacon for Rising Tide. We are blessed to see it daily, anchored on the ledge, standing tall in the ebb and flow of the tide.
